SPE Workshop in February 2019

SPE Workshop in Abu Dhabi: The Journey to 70% Recovery Factor - From Vision to Plan — This workshop will be a platform for scientists, experts and industry professionals to share the latest technological advances on subsurface aspects while presenting topics such as different EOR techniques, innovative technology, case studies, monitoring and surveillance, reservoir conformance and tools to improve understanding of field performance. SPE International Heavy Oil Conference in December 2018

We have submitted two papers with KOC ("Geochemical Modeling to Evaluate the Performance of Polymer Flooding in a Highly Sour Sandstone Heavy Oil Reservoir" and "A Feasibility Study of Hybrid-Thermal and Chemical EOR Methods in a Low-Permeability Carbonate Heavy Oil Reservoir with Strong Aquifer Drive") to the SPE International Heavy Oil Conference and Exhibition to be held at the American University of the Middle East (AUM) in Kuwait. ADIPEC in November 2018

We are co-authors on a paper ("Polymer EOR Assessment Through Integrated Laboratory and Simulation Evaluation for an Offshore Middle East Carbonate Reservoir") with ADNOC and ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company to be presented at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference. ATCE in September 2018

We will be in Dallas in September for ATCE! Please visit us at booth number 2717. Jonathan Driver will present SPE-191581-MS ("Stability of Biopolymer and partially Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide in presence of H2S and Oxygen") and we co-authored SPE-191747-MS ("Effects of CEOR Chemicals on Asphaltene Precipitation" coauthored with Clariant and Kuwait Oil Company). Mojdeh Delshad will be teaching a 2-day course on Chemical Enhanced Recovery. We look forward to seeing you there.

Workshop in Denmark - June 2018

Tracer Workshop in March

SPE Workshop in Abu Dhabi: Improved Decision Making Through Tracer Technology — This workshop, sponsored by UEORS, will focus on the outcome of the tracer technology applied in petroleum industry and on tracer benefit in improving reservoir management decisions. It will will also focus on tracer applications for Enhanced Oil Recovery, Heavy Oil, Unconventional Resources, Reservoir Characterisation, Inflow Profiling, in addition to New and Emerging Tracer technologies. Mojdeh Delshad and Robert Fortenberry are serving as committee members; Delshad will co-chair Session 5. Unlocking the Next Billion Barrels — Delshad emphasized the importance of using integrated packaging of existing solutions to exploit mature green- and brown-fields at the dinner panel discussion to kick off this year's ATCE in San Antonio.

IEA Mexico Conference — Robert Fortenberry, reservoir engineer at UEORS, presented "Application of Polymer Flooding to Challenging Carbonate Reservoirs" at the 38th annual IEA-EOR conference held in Rivera Maya, Mexico. We recently received news that we are a finalist for Best EOR Technology Award in the 2017 World Oil Awards. The awards honor the upstream energy industry's leading innovators and innovations.
